PASTOR'S CORNER
Divine Intervention
When
God intervenes for us, we find favour among all men. In Daniel 6:18, King Darius, who was a
gentile, fasted and prayed for Daniel because it was evident that Daniel served
the Living God. When God intervenes, the
mindset of those around us will be changed because His glory cannot be
hidden. (Daniel 6:27) We would not have to defend ourselves against
our accusers as their lies will be exposed. (Daniel 6:24)
God’s
wrath is kindled against those who try to harm us and when He intervenes, it is
always spectacular. He intervenes when
we trust Him wholeheartedly and when He shows up, men have no choice but to
bless His children. God intervenes
because ‘He is a great and awesome
God, who keeps his covenant of love with all who love him and obey his
commands…’ (Daniel 9:4)
There’s
a song by Fred Hammond, which says, ‘…God
will do, what He said He will do, He will stand by His word, He will come
through…’ We may sometimes feel
alone in our situation, but this month, remember that when we trust in God and
have faith in His Word, He will cause the hearts of Kings to soften with love
and respect for us. We will find favour
and they will acknowledge the awesome wonder of our God.
May
God divinely interrupt our journey and change our direction so that our lives
may be transformed for eternity.
