PASTOR'S CORNER

3. Responsibility and Onus

No limits, no boundaries – this indicates free reign, however, with this comes great responsibility.  When    we have no limits, we have the ability to do as we wish and operate in the divine wisdom and strength that we have been blessed with.  However, we have to operate responsibly to ensure that we do not abuse the ability, which God has given us or misuse the territory, which He has blessed us with.  The onus lies on us to use our ‘power’ to achieve that which God has called us to accomplish.  We must allow God to work through us, but we must neither become slothful nor take God’s grace for granted.

God instructed Ezekiel to prophesy to the mountains of Israel and to the dry bones.  We have absolute authority and the ability to surmount all obstacles.  We have No Limits.  In Revelation 3:8 God confirms the power, which He has given us.  We have No Limits, we do not have a spirit of fear, so we cannot be afraid to try.  If we encourage ourselves through the Word of God; have absolute faith in His power and also believe in our potential, we will surpass our highest expectations.

Those, who cry out to God, study and believe His Word will be blessed by Him.  Jabez’s prayer proves the ‘theory’ that the effective, fervent prayer of the righteous man avails much.  If God dwells in us, is there anything that we cannot achieve?  His Word tells us in Isaiah 55:5 that He has glorified us and His intention is for us to have favour with all nations.

II Corinthians 9:8 says, ‘…And God is able to make all grace abound toward you; that ye, always having all sufficiency in all things, may abound to every good work…’  The grace of God will ensure that we have more than enough resources to achieve all that He has created us to accomplish.  Deuteronomy 11:23 – 25 also confirms that God intends us to possess the land on which the soles of our feet shall tread.

God has given us access to His grace and mercy, which uphold us.  Nothing is impossible with Him.  (Luke 1:37).  He tells us to ask of Him and He shall give us the uttermost parts of the earth for our inheritance, (Psalm 2:8), so is there anything that we cannot achieve?

As children of the Most High, we have no boundaries.  Heaven prevails over every situation that we encounter.  Therefore, anything untoward that assails us has to contend with the wrath of God.  He counters every attack of the enemy to enable us to win and shields us from all harm.  He anointed us when He chose us, so what are we incapable of doing?  Simply trust in God.

There’s a song by Fred Hammond, which says, ‘…every step of the righteous man is ordered by God…though you may not know His mind, He will reveal it all in time, just know ‘til then, your steps are ordered by God…’  This month, let us focus on our God-given goals and be confident in God’s power, which will enable us to achieve these goals.  We must know that God called us to succeed and triumph over every obstacle.  Until next month, remember that with God there are No Limits!
