Influence: Contagious Living (Part1)

Powerful message by Pastor Tai Adeshugba Influence: Contagious Living (Part 1)

Today Pastor Tai teaches us from a well known portion of scripture, where Jesus calls us the “salt and light of the world”. We’ve all heard it many times before, but what does it actually mean? What does it mean to be salt, what does it mean to be light?

Both components give us an advantage. Where there is tastelessness, we are salt to add seasoning. In a world that is shrouded in darkness, we are light showing people the way. This makes us people of influence, it makes us indispensable in a world that is self-destructing. Being salt and being light validates our witness that Jesus is the only way.

Yet many of us are not appealing, we’re unattractive and our lives don’t reflect what we say with our lips. Unbelievers look at us and think “If knowing God means I’ll be like you, thanks but no thanks”.  We shout “I’ve got the joy of the Lord!” but we walk about continuously looking down and forlorn. Consequently we drive people further away from God instead of compelling them to come closer.

Pastor Tai touches on 3 things that being salt and light does for us and for the kingdom of heaven. Head straight to our website for a timely message that will challenge and compel you to rethink purpose, rethink vision and rethink your mission!
