Powerful message by Pastor Tai Adeshugba Influence: Contagious Living (Part 2)
This Sunday Pastor Tai continues with the topic ‘Contagious Living’.
Last we were taught that our image forms our influence and is also a witness to the Kingdom of God. Today we are given two more points about the value of your image.
1.) Your image affects your environment. We learned last week that Jesus asserted Christians to be the ‘salt and light of the world’. But why did he specifically choose the objects salt and light?
Everyone knows salt to be the seasoning, that even in the smallest of amounts can make a big change to your pot of food. In the same way God wants to live for Him, that we may impart a positive flavour into any gathering of people.
Salt is also known to melt the icy roads in the coldest of months; we as Christians can use the joy and light of the Lord to melt the coldest of hearts and bring people closer to Him.
Ultimately God wants you to let your image, your influence season people’s lives for His Kingdom.
The absence of light brings confusion, delay and regression.
Light pushes back darkness, where there is light there is joy. If you have the light of God in you, when people see you they will follow the light you are following.
2.) Your image should add value. We are given a good image by God to add value to the kingdom and also to ourselves. This means that the more you touch people for God, the more God will touch your life to be a witness. He will continue to make you the salt and light that He wants you be.
To better understand the connection between your image and God’s purpose, make sure you listen to today’s sermon and if you missed last week’s, have a listen to that also to learn how you can add the ‘flavour’ and ‘colour’ of God to the lives of others.
