Powerful message by Pastor Tai Adeshugba Influence: Contagious Living (Part 3)
This Sunday Pastor Tai continues with the topic on ‘Contagious Living’.
“Don’t judge a book by its cover!” they say, but we all do it. We come across people and make snap judgements about what and who we think they are. Sometimes we’re right but most of the time, we’re wrong! Today Ps Tai takes his text from a very familiar passage of scripture, the woman at the well. This woman had lived. She had lived and done some things that even by today’s standards many would turn their noses up at. She wasn’t the type of person for Jesus to be seen with let alone talk to. Next to Jesus, she was worthy of nothing but judgement and rejection.
Unlike many people of the day, Jesus judged her worthy of love. He sowed a seed into her life that brought forth plenty of fruit. God wants us to sow because when we sow, lives are changed and we show that we value His heart. When we value His heart, He in turn values ours. God also wants us to flow in His power, in the power of redemption and in the power of grace. He doesn’t desire us to be robotic and stagnant focusing only on the law and ignoring grace. Grace flows like a river and in order to reach people, we too need to flow. Lastly, Ps Tai explains that God wants us to grow. For when we grow, we empower His kingdom. The expansion of His kingdom only comes when we His people allow ourselves to grow. When we grow, we are stronger and better equipped to win souls!
