Cure for the Joyless

Cure for the Joyless

Powerful message by Pastor Tai Adeshugba: Cure for the Joyless (Part 1)

Today, Pastor Tai kicks off this Pentecostal Sunday with an impactful new series entitled – Cure for the Joyless.

As you can imagine, the past year and a half has been quite a challenge for most people, with physical isolation being a key one of them. This in-turn could lead to loneliness, unhappiness and disparity.

Today however, we learn a key principle, that the Lord God we serve does NOT operate from a perspective of Sorrow in our lives. Examining Hannah’s story in 1 Sam 1: 15-18, we see that the Lord God did not Bless her until she lifted her countenance. He does not visit the sorrowful, He visits those who know how to praise Him DESPITE their circumstances.

We learn we need to physically take control of our negative emotions (sorrow, despair, unhappiness) and uplift our own countenance in order to allow for us receive the full Blessings of God.
