Defeating Sorrow (Part 4)

Defeating Sorrow (Part 4)

Powerful message by Pastor Tai Adeshugba Defeating Sorrow (Part 4)

Today’s message is all about “Forgiveness”

Through the story of the ‘servants & the talents’, ‘David & Ahithophel’ and an analogy involving a sack of potatoes; Pastor Tai shows us that harbouring unforgiveness  in our hearts is the easiest way to feeling sorrowful. Pastor Tai explains that as the year comes to a close it is important for us to ‘clean up’. Clean ourselves from unforgiveness and bitterness.
So why don’t people forgive? Pastor Tai breaks it down in 3 parts:

1. We need attention.
2. We need to be in control
3. We think the offence is too great.

Most of the time we look at ourselves as if we’re righteous but we cannot bring this attitude into 2018.

So, Why should we forgive?
1. What the devil has planned for you is bigger than what is hurting you. Forgiving will be costly but failure to forgive will cost you a lot more.
2. God’s plan for you is bigger than what is hurting you.  You will never recover from your hurt when you are focused on revenge.
