Going The Distance (Part2)

Powerful message by Pastor Tai Adeshugba: Going The Distance (Part 2)

In the next instalment of the new series ‘Going the Distance’, Pastor Tai focuses on ‘Staying the Distance’. We often find that maintaining, staying and being steadfast in this Christian journey is very difficult. Without a shadow of doubt, we know that the enemy is constantly waging war against us. With each new day, comes a new challenge that threatens to weaken us. So what’s the key to staying the distance?

Prayer. Prayer is the key to maintaining our stamina in this race. When we remain in a place of prayer, we tap into a supernatural realm that empowers and emboldens us to press on forward. The Psalmist reminds us that “He who dwells [stays] in the secret place of the Most High, abides under the shadow of the Almighty”. When we stay focused and fix our attention on God, something rises up on the inside and we find that we’re able to keep going.

As we transition into the second half of the year, where many of us feel disappointed or feel that we have not yet met our targets, this word is timely and necessary.
