The Force of Peace (Part 2)

The Force of Peace (Part 2)

Powerful message by Pastor Tai Adeshugba: The Force of Peace (Part 2)

For this week’s sermon, Pastor Tai continued his series on the ‘Pursuit of Peace’ by encouraging us to expel internal conflict.

People try to seek peace through different outlets. They may try to overachieve in their careers or pursue a life that looks good on social media. However these things only give you (fickle) validation from others, and will not truly bring you peace if you are experiencing conflict within yourself.

One of the ways that you can settle internal conflict is through self acceptance. You accept yourself when you decide to let go of comparing yourself to others, give yourself grace through self compassion and stop trying to be perfect.

When you accept yourself, you experience God-given peace that is not controlled by external circumstances. Instead, it’s a peace that gives you comfort, because you know that no matter what, God is in control.
